Semi-precious hematine beads are commonly referred to as hematite beads.  Hematite is actually the natural material and hematine is man-made.  It is extremely difficult to tell the difference between these stones, but even though they were sold as hematite, the great prices indicate that these beads are all hematine.  We think semi-precious hematine beads look great in jewelry designs and have a beautiful shine that complements other beads.  Be sure and take a look at the magnetic hematine beads on this page.  Sometimes semi-precious stone bead colors and sizes vary slightly because these beads are natural.  All semi-precious bead strands are 16 inches long, unless otherwise stated.
