Opalite is a relatively new stone that was introduced in China during the 1980s. This beautiful milky purple material actually isn't a stone at all, but rather glass! Opalite is also known by many other names, including Sea Opal, Opal Quartz, Opal Moonstone and Argenon but again, it is simply man-made glass. Use this popular material in your next project for a truely beautiful design!
Each bead varies in size, shape and color no two beads are exactly alike. Because these are natural stone beads, each one has its own character including crackling, inclusions, chips, etc...
