We also use them to hold charms in pendant necklaces. These findings are made of a brass plated base metal and have been patinaed in verdigris, rust, and other mixed colors. Our Ancient Alchemy line looks like it's just been unearthed in an archeological dig with its rich turquoises, red rusts and sea greens! The patinas we use on these pieces take up to 12 hours to work their rusty magic. Our patinas actually create rust and verdigris on the components, so we always seal our pieces with layers of clear matte sealer.These components are made of a plated base metal alloy and have been hand painted with metal-specific paints and patinas. No two components are ever exactly alike because of their hand painted nature. These components have been distressed and sealed with a clear matte spray. The matte sealer protects the color and imparts a rustic feel.These links are approximately 36mm long by 21mm wide. The inside diameter of the loops is 1.5mm.
