Beaded Boho Feather Charm

Materials:  • 11/0 Delica Seed Beads (11SB) • 1x2mm Crystal Rondelles (CR) • FireLine (3' feet or more depending on how big you want your feather) • Scissors • Beading Needle

Step 1:  Cut 3 feet of fireline and thread your needle.  String on desired length of the 1x2mm crystal rondelles.  This will be the spine of your feather.  Thread your needle through the second and third to last bead on your spine and pull tight.

Step 2:  To create the barbs of your feather, string on two 11/0 seed beads and one 1x2mm crystal rondelle.  Skip the CR and thread your needle back through the two 11SB and up through the CR your thread is exiting in the spine.  Repeat this step on the other side of your spine and thread your needle through the next CR in the spine.  Remember to lengthen and shorten your barbs to form the shape of your feather.  

Step 3:  Repeat step 2 one more time so that you have two sets of barbs on your feather.  After completing step 2 again, thread your needle through the next two CR in the spine.  Going through the two CR helps the barbs of your feather to flow better.  Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have completed your feather.  Add a loop or jumpring and voila!
