Amazonite is a gorgeous and classic stone that has been used in jewelry since ancient times. A form of feldspar (a common mineral within the Earth's crust), Amazonite is a brilliant blue-green opaque stone that is also relatively soft, which makes it perfect for beadwork and carvings. Amazonite is mostly found in Russia, Myanmar, India, Brazil and the USA.
These Amazonite beads measure 8mm long by 5mm wide and the holes measure from .5mm to 1mm in diameter. The strand measures about 7" inches long and there are approximately Q34 beads on a strand.
