Batilda the Witch LOVES her bats! So much so, she lives on the top of Bracken Cave, the Bat Capital of the World, in a little chicken-legged hut. Shy and somewhat elusive, she is gifted with echolocation and is known in inner witchy circles for her bat whisperer skills. She is dear friends with her seventh cousin one time removed Aggie, who runs the Black Cat Haven in Salem, who she visits often to help her care for numerous orphan bats.
We've had a blast creating these Hallow's Eve witches - each one has been hand painted using paints and patinas, and even sparkling glitters! This pendant would look lovely on a plain chain, but you can also bead around it for a truly one of a kind design. This listing is for 1 pendant.
This pendant has been painted by the Dry Gulch gals in our studio in the Ozarks area of Missouri. Adding life to handmade jewelry by painting plain metal components is one of our favorite things to do. Our hand painted pendants and components can take up to to 2 days to complete in our studio!
This fancy witch is made of an antique brass plated base metal alloy and has been hand painted with metal-specific paints and patinas. No two pendants are ever exactly alike because of their hand painted nature. The back side has not been painted. These pendants have been gently distressed for an old world chipped look and then sealed with glossy resin. The resin protects the color and imparts an enameled effect.
This witch is the perfect pendant size, it is approximately 60x50mm, or 1-7/8" inches wide by 2-1/4" inches long. The inside diameter of the loop is 5mm. The photos in this listing include a ruler so you can see how big the pendant is. All photos have been taken outdoors with sunlight, but as always, computer and mobile screens display colors differently.
