Magnesite is a mined stone that generally begins in a cream or white color before being enhanced with dye. Magnesite is short for magnesium carbonate, and is famous for its dye-able and carving qualities. These beads were mined, dyed and carved in East Asia.
Each bead varies in size, shape and color no two beads are exactly alike. Because these are natural stone beads, each one has its own character including crackling, inclusions, chips, etc... These beads are all center drilled, with the occasional bead having a slightly off center hole.
